Exciting Updates for Renew & Rejoice
Our dedicated Projects team has been hard at work, and we're excited to see the next steps of our campaign to renew our church home come to life.
Organ Update
-Lewtak Organ Builders will begin work on our new organ in January 2025.
-Many of our current organ pipes will be melted down and repurposed, creating a beautiful new instrument that will inspire generations to come.
-Because we will be without an organ for an extended period, we'll rely on our lovely baby grand piano to accompany our singing in worship.
We're also making significant improvements to our gathering spaces:
-New Flooring and Finishes: Fresh carpet, refinished pews, and new hardwood floors will enhance the beauty of our sanctuary, narthex, choir loft, and chancel.
-Enhanced Accessibility: We're modifying four pews to accommodate wheelchairs and other assistive devices.
-Foundation Repair: A crack in the narthex foundation will be repaired to ensure the structural integrity of our building.
-Updated Furnishings: New chairs for the Fellowship Hall, Library, and Conference Room will provide comfort and style.
-New Flooring: The Fellowship Hall and Narthex bathrooms will receive updated flooring.
-Window Replacement: New windows in the Conference Room and Nursery. (For more information about the windows, please see this post).
What's Next?
-New Chairs Arriving Soon: Our new chairs for the Fellowship Hall, Library, and Conference Room are ordered and expected to arrive in late November or early December.
-Final Choices: Our team is working with an interior designer to select flooring colors. Work on the Fellowship Hall floor and Narthex bathrooms is anticipated to begin in late 2024 or early 2025. Other projects will follow in the first half of 2025, with completion before the organ installation in late 2025.
Thank you for your continued support of Renew & Rejoice. We can't wait to celebrate these exciting improvements with you in the coming year!
