Epiphany’s purpose statement is:

God calls Epiphany to: Grow our relationship with God, Connect with each other, and Serve the world.

Epiphany’s guiding principles are:

Epiphany is a welcoming community, sharing the grace of God, the love of Christ, and the hope of new life with all.

All of this means that:

We are a Christian community that is Lutheran.

Like Martin Luther, we find ourselves wholly dependent upon God’s grace. We find God’s grace as we read Scripture, receive the Sacraments, and live together in community.

We need a Savior

If you’re looking for the perfect church, you won’t find it here! We don’t put our trust in how perfect we are, but in a loving God who sent Jesus into the world.

We need each other.

Epiphany joyfully partners with almost 200 Lutheran congregations in North Carolina, 9,500 congregations in the US, and Lutherans throughout the world. We also partner with other local churches and other organizations throughout Winston-Salem. Click below for links to some of our partner organizations:

We worship in a way that is neither “stuffy” nor “hip.”

We seek to worship using the great tradition of the church while being open to new expressions of the Holy Spirit.

We believe that worship empowers us for service.

Faith is meant to be lived out. Our main outreach ministries focus on housing, food, and children.

We practice hospitality.

No matter who you are or where you come from, we welcome you.
