Easter 2025 Renew & Rejoice Update

A lot of very exciting things are happening with our Renew & Rejoice Capital Campaign.  Let’s get right to it!

The windows in the Nursery and Conference Room are in progress and should be finished by the end of next week.  These windows are much more energy efficient than the previous windows, which were original to the building.

On Monday you’ll see a dumpster near the Pennington Lane side of the building.  The dumpster will temporarily be here for 2-3 months as we begin the next part of Phase 1.

Here’s our current timeline:

-Work on the Fellowship Hall and Narthex Bathrooms will begin the week of April 21.  Replacing the floors should take about 2 weeks to complete.

-Around the first week of May, carpet in the Narthex, Choir Room, and Library will be replaced.  That should take about 1 week to complete.

-May 4 is our last Sunday in the Sanctuary for about 5-6 weeks.  While we are out of the sanctuary, our contractor will replace the carpet, hardwood flooring, pew cushions, kneelers, recover the choir chairs, add additional access for people who are physically handicapped, and refinish the pews.

-While we are out of the sanctuary, we will be worshipping in the Fellowship Hall with our new chairs and flooring.  The plan is to return to the Sanctuary around Father’s Day.

-This summer we will be installing automatic door openers to the Narthex Bathroom doors to improve access for all people.

Work also continues on our beautiful new pipe organ.  Lewtak Pipe Organ Builders will be in the sanctuary during our renovations to add additional space to the pipe loft to help make the new organ fit.  Tom Lewtak reports that his team is working steadily on our project and is excited to see it installed by the end of 2025.

This is all such exciting news!  Thank you for your continued support of Renew & Rejoice.
