Holy Week and Easter at Epiphany

You are welcome at Epiphany as we journey from the cross to the empty tomb.

Sunday, March 29 - Palm Sunday

Encounter: Faith Sunday School at 9 AM

Worship at 10 AM

Holy Week begins with us waving palm branches, shouting hosanna, and hearing the great paradox of our faith: Jesus is both glorified king and humiliated servant.

Thursday, April 2 - Maundy Thursday

Worship at Noon and 7 pm

On Maundy Thursday we remember Jesus’ last meal with his disciples and his commandment to love one another as he has loved us. Maundy Thursday also includes the celebration of Holy Communion and a stripping of the altar, which reminds us of Christ’s humility on the cross.

Friday, April 3 - Good Friday

Worship at Noon and 7 pm

Today we see the power and glory of God as Jesus is put on trial and sentenced to death. As we stand at the foot of the cross, we pray for the whole world, remembering that Christ’s death offers life to all. Our Noon worship service features an ancient set of prayers called the Stations of the Cross and our 7 pm worship service features a retelling of the crucifixion of Jesus, hymns, and solemn prayers.

Sunday, April 5 - Easter Sunday

Easter Breakfast at 9 am

Children’s Easter Egg Hunt around 9:30 am

Festival Worship at 10 am

Christ is risen, and through him all creation is made new! We sing hymns of praise, gather around the sacred words of Scripture, and proclaim God’s faithfulness, power, and love in the feast of Holy Communion.
