8.23.24 Admin Transition

Dear Epiphany Disciples,

Just before Memorial Day our beloved long-term Office Manager, Mickey Miller, went out on medical leave.  After a lengthy hospital stay and time at a local in-patient rehabilitation hospital, she is back at her home and continues to recover.  Mickey has been so thankful for the care and concern of the Epiphany church family over these last several months.  Not only has she been our Office Manager for 20 years, but she is a member of our congregation.

While I’m delighted to announce that Mickey will continue to be an active member of Epiphany, I’m sad to announce that she won’t be returning to her role as Office Manager.  This is certainly bittersweet news.  On Sunday, September 29, we’re having a potluck lunch in honor of Mickey after worship.  I hope you can attend as we give God thanks for her faithful work at Epiphany.

When I knew that Mickey would not be returning to her position in the church office, I worked with our Council and Personnel Team on a several things like an updated job description.  We then advertised the opening for our Administrative Assistant.

After reviewing over 50 applications for this position, I’m delighted to announce that we will be welcoming Elizabeth Kelly as our new Administrative Assistant on Monday, August 26.  Elizabeth comes to us from a local construction company, where she was an executive administrative assistant.  Her previous work experience as an office manager, administrative assistant, and accounting assistant will be a blessing to us.

As we welcome Elizabeth to our church staff, please note the following:

-Church Office hours are now 9:00 am-3:00 pm, Monday-Friday.

-Elizabeth’s work email address will be live on Monday morning and is ekelly@epiphanyws.org.  In addition, the epiphanystaff@epiphanyws.org account is still active.

-I, along with several other people at Epiphany, will be working on getting her onboarded to her new position.  While she comes to us with many years of experience, it takes time to learn a new job.

Thanks for all you will do to welcome Elizabeth to Epiphany.  She’s excited about coming on board and beginning her work at Epiphany.

Yours in Christ,

Pastor Russell Peek
