Are you in need of Pastoral Care?
The Congregational Care Team is a ministry to our Epiphany congregation as we follow Christ’s example of caring for each other as brothers and sisters in Christ. Our mission includes the following:
- Provide meals for families when members have been hospitalized
- Send cards to members who have an illness, experience a loss, need encouragement, or have little contact with other members
- Serve as liaison for the pastor when special situations exist
- Arrange transportation for members who need a ride to church services
Epiphany enjoys a variety of fellowship and community events throughout the year. In months that have one, we gather for a Fifth Sunday Fellowship Brunch between services. During Advent and Lent, we enjoy Wednesday evening meals together. We are always looking for a good excuse to have a pot luck or a reception to celebrate a special occasion.
Older Wiser Lutherans
The OWLs are a fellowship and service group for “seasoned saints” at Epiphany. This group schedules monthly activities together and sponsors “Bingo Night” at Trinity Glen (one of two Lutheran homes in Forsyth County!) on the first Thursday of every month.
The Prayer Chain prays daily, by individual name, for those on the prayer list, which is updated regulary. Requests for inclusion are received directly from church members as well as from Prayer Cards placed in the offering plate on Sundays and channeled through the Pastors.
Epiphany is very blessed with a spiritually active group of women participating in our Women of the ELCA organization. Our four very active circles share in inspirational programs and Bible studies, work on many worthwhile projects and have wonderful fun and fellowship as Sisters in Christ – we are a real support group for each other.
